Eleanor Jane Lang, 65, died after a courageous battle with cancer, Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at her home in Atlantic, VA.Born May 13, 1939 in Jenkins Bridge, Va., she was the daughter of the late Jefferson 'Son' Davis Mears and the late Virginia Holland Mears. Eleanor supported her children through school and sports and she never passed up a good yard saleShe is survived by four children, Beverly Ann Austin and her husband Tim of Onancock; Napoleon Bonaparte 'Buddy' Broward, V of Atlantic; Robert Cale Lang, III and his wife Lynn of Pocomoke City and Rodney Clarence Lang and his wife Amy of Exmore; six grandchildren, Natasha Pryor, Keith Hitch, Ashley Frakes, Robbie Lang, Kasey Lang and Daniel Lang; one great-granddaughter, Taylor Pryor; two sisters, Joanne Hickman and her husband Ralph of Oak Hall and Mary Grace Jester and her husband Leonard of Chincoteague; three brothers, Tom 'Wrendo' Mears and his wife Nancy of Princess Anne, David Mears and his wife Patsy and John Mears, Sr., and his wife Patricia all of Pocomoke City; a sister-in-law Anita Mears of Seaford; two special friends, Tom and Anne Stephens of Atlantic, and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wade Mears.A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, February 25, 2005 at the Holloway Melson Funeral Home in Pocomoke City where family and friends may call Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Rev. Tammy Estep will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the First Baptist Cemetery in Pocomoke City.If desired, contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Lower Eastern Shore, P.O.
