Comfort was born circa 1696 at Accomack Co, VA. Comfort was named in her grandfather's will on 23 July 1698 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as my granddaughter Comfort Taylor, daughter of Elias & Comfort Taylor, in the will of William Anderson..2 She married Col. Solomon Ewell, son of James Ewell and Anne Smith, circa 1716. Comfort, daughter of Elias Taylor, inherited part of Whitelaw's tract A141 when her brother Joshua Taylor died without issue. This was the upper part and extended north of the road through Assawoman a short distance and it included A141A. After the death of Solomon Ewell, his widow Comfort married Charles Stockley and had issue, but Charles had only the life interest of his wife in the property, and in 1741 he gave a deed of release to Jedidiah Ewell, the ultimate heir of Solomon and Comfort..3 Comfort was named in her father's will on 19 April 1717 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as a daughter Comfort Ewell in the will of Elias Taylor, wife Comfort..4 Comfort witnessed a will on 29 October 1725 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that James Wishart, Comfort Ewell and Hannah Wishart witnessed the will of John Evans, wife Mary..5 Comfort was named in her husband's will on 30 August 1734 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as a wife Comfort in the will of Solomon Ewell..6 She married Charles Stockley, son of Charles Stockley Yeoman and (-----) (-----), after 1734.7 Comfort died before 1742.
