Jesse was born circa 1750 at Accomack Co, VA.2 Jesse was named in his father's will on 3 October 1754 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as a son Jesse Dickeson in the will of Edward Dickeson, wife Sarah.2 Jesse was named in his brother's will before 27 April 1773 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as my brother Jesse Dickerson in the will of David Dickerson, wife Hannah.3 He married Leah (-----) circa 1775. Jesse served in the Revolutionary War in in 1775 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Jesse Dickerson, a Captain in the Militia..4 Jesse died before 28 October 1788 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on the estate of Jesse Dickerson was granted to Leah Dickerson with John R. Parker & Thomas Fletcher securities..5 He was named in a land cause on 28 July 1803 at Pocomoke Neck, Acc Co, VA. That one Jesse Dickinson, Sr., was lately seized as of fee of 500 acres of land at Pocomoke, and being so seized on the ____ day of ____, 1788, departed this life intestate leaving five children, to-wit: Thomas Dickinson, the said Sarah, now the wife of William Ewell, and the said Betsey, Susanna and Jesse Dickinson, Jr., who entered upon the said lands and became seized of the premises; that on the ____ day of ____ 1803, the said Thomas Dickinson departed this life intestate, at full age leaving no child nor father or mother, but brothers & sisters, all of the whole blood, who entered into and became seized of the said 1/5 share of the said Thomas, dec. Thomas Fletcher appointed guardian to the infant defendants to defend this suit.6 Jesse was named as an heir on 29 November 1815 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Jesse Dickerson dec'd, a brother to Leah Marshall, formerly Leah Dickerson, the mother of George Marshall the younger. He left: Jesse Dickerson, William Ewell and Sally, his wife, formerly Dickerson, Elizabeth White, wife of James White, formerly Elizabeth Dickerson, Susanna Silverthorn, wife of William Silverthorn, formerly Susanna Dickerson, the said Jesse, Sally, Elizabeth & Susanna being the children of Jesse Dickerson dec'd.7
