411 Kirk Littleton McKay of Lakeland, FL and formerly of this city, died Sunday at a hospital in Jacksonville, FL after an illness of three months. He was the brother of A.C. McKay and Mrs. Grace Mckay Webb of this city.

Mr. McKay, who was a resident of this city 25 years ago, was associated with Parker and Spencer. At the time of his death, he was engaged in business with his elder son, Kirk L. McKay Jr. He is also survived by another son, Flint McKay of Lakeland; a brother, Howard McKay, Pocomoke City, MD; an aunt, Mrs. Edna P. Hussey, and an uncle, Horace Trader, both of this city.

Burial will be in Lakeland at 9 Tomorrow.

413 Larry was born in January 17, 1923 in Montgomery, N.Y., village of Maybrook, one of thirteen children of Harry Roe, Sr. and Ella Depew Roe. He passed away peacefully due to respiratory failure on October 2, 2009 in Tacoma WA surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Delphina Rosa Guerrero Roe (9/10/1926 ? 10/6/1988). He is survived by siblings George Roe, Sarah Pelgreen, William Roe and Howard Roe; children Lawrence Roe, Jr., Steven Roe and wife Anne Marie, Debra Bennion and husband Scott; also his companion of many years Madge Thomson; 6 grand children; 9 great grandchildren; numerous friends and extended family.

Larry?s earliest work years were with the C.C.C. before enlisting in the US Navy in 1942, serving as a gunner on aircraft carriers in WWII until his discharge in 1945 in Bremerton WA. When he met Delphina she was a stewardess on the ferry Kalakala and they were married April 18, 1945. They settled in West Seattle (living there until 1988.) After the war, Larry became an expert upholsterer, working in furniture manufacturing before moving to custom work for the last 15 years of his career with Terrace Upholstery.

Larry loved fishing, hunting or just enjoying the outdoors. He was a longtime member of the Fin and Feather sportsman?s club as well as Eagles Aerie 2888 and the Rebeka Lodge. He enjoyed touring the U.S. by car, and visiting far flung relatives. He loved to laugh and to see others laugh. He was always fun to be around. He made his home in Mountlake Terrace, WA for the last 21 years.

To those who knew and loved him, our world will not be the same. He will be greatly missed.

A family memorial service was held in Maple Valley, WA.

438 Matthew Fuller did not accompany his parents and brother on the Mayflower. He was likely older than his younger brother Samuel (b. about 1608) and may have stayed in England (with other children?) to continue his education. He is first mentioned in the New England Records in a deed October 1640 and it's believed that 1640 is the year of his arrival and that of his family. 447 Mr FRank FcKay, formerly of Sanford, died at his home at Lakeland, FL, on Saturday, June 11, at the age of 69 years. The remains were brought to Accomack county and funeral services were held from the Sanford Methodist Episcopal church, on Tuesday, June 14, conducted by the Rev. F.T. Fulcher, and interment was in the Bonniwell cemetery.

Mr McKay moved from Sanford in 1914 to Lakeland, FL and started a funiture business from which he retired in 1925. He is survived by his widow, Mrs Annie McKay; three sons, W.H. McKay, Makemie Park, A.C. McKay, Newport News and Kirk McKay; one daughter, Mrs Grace Webb, of Lakeland, FL; one sister, Mrs W.S. Knaub, York, PA, and two brothers, A.H. Hass and Howard J. Hass of York, PA.

The active pallbarers were W.W. McCready, R.L. McCready, John Drummond, J.H. Wessells, Spice Taylor, Hermon Only; honorary, W.R. Byrd, Dorsey Marshall, W.F. White, Riley Bull, M.A. Stant and A.T. Corbin.

448 Mr. Ashton F. Scott, age 73, of 1256 Gondola Court, Boynton Beach, died March 8, 1982 in a local hospital. He was a nine year resident here coming from Bethesda, MD.

Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Marjorie of Boynton Beach; three daughters, Mrs. Dixie Shumaker of Temperanceville, VA, Mrs. Marjorie Steinberg, Los Angeles, CA, Mrs Carol Robinson, Los Angeles, CA; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Esdras S. Gruver, pastor of Trinity Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Axel T. Mattson, G.F. Lenz Jr., W.J. Bright III, R.H. Seward, Walter C. Palmer III, Nelson T. Overton, T.T. Thompson, James E. Dowell and S.W. Nelms. Other friends of the family will serve as honorary pallbearers.
