Larry?s earliest work years were with the C.C.C. before enlisting in the US Navy in 1942, serving as a gunner on aircraft carriers in WWII until his discharge in 1945 in Bremerton WA. When he met Delphina she was a stewardess on the ferry Kalakala and they were married April 18, 1945. They settled in West Seattle (living there until 1988.) After the war, Larry became an expert upholsterer, working in furniture manufacturing before moving to custom work for the last 15 years of his career with Terrace Upholstery.

Larry loved fishing, hunting or just enjoying the outdoors. He was a longtime member of the Fin and Feather sportsman?s club as well as Eagles Aerie 2888 and the Rebeka Lodge. He enjoyed touring the U.S. by car, and visiting far flung relatives. He loved to laugh and to see others laugh. He was always fun to be around.
